GPS Receiver
I’m getting close to being done with it all and I don’t have a GPS unit yet. I just ordered my VIA EPIA 1GHz motherboard/CPU/etc tonight, and should have it in a week. I’m going to order the LCD this week, along with the DC-DC 150w PSU. All I will need is the GPS unit. So, what GPS unit can I get for about $100 that will work with MapPoint and CoPilot 2003? I don’t need the software, as I am planning on going with an OSS (Before you ask, ‘Open Source Software’) solution for Linux. I would really like it to be USB as well.
And yes, I have used my friend the button and came up empty. 7 pages of results with no answers...
Thanks in advance!

I just got myself one of these with a USB connector, cost me £100
Not used it with any software yet (am in "acquiring" mode) but it shows up as a COM port, so providing the software you are using can choose which COM port, then you should be good to go

The Earthmate is USB, costs about $100, and it's the only one I've found this small that's WAAS enabled.

the new earthmate that is USB will work. Mine works with all GPS apps so far. You just select the option to install the drivers to install usb->serial for use with other apps other then street atlas.
Mine uses COM5 on my desktop and COM3 on my laptop. So it emulates a COM port.
