The AGPS plugin has it's own serial NMEA reader, which is why you have it working. The native NMEA reader in Streets and Trips and MapPoint 2004 both fail to work with the Earthmate. I coded by own NMEA reader and realized that the format is not strictly followed by the DeLorme software. I could use a terminal client to get dumps from the GPS, so I know the driver was working.

I just got an Email from Alk.
They are releaseing an upgrade in October that will support 3rd party GPS's. (Untested)
Also in Nov. they will be releaseing Co-Pilot Live Laptop 7 which will be the newest version available.
the priceing for registered users. $49 to upgrade from CP2k3 to CP2K3 Updated and $99 to upgrade to Co-pilot Live.

I will let me know more in Nov.
