whats the best GPS software to use

I live in the uk and would like to know whats the best GPS software to use verses price.

Also what kind of receiver do I need. Can I use one of them cheap ones from ebay?

Is Microsoft™ Streets and Trips or Autoroute any good to use with a GPS device as I already have these.

I use route 66, at the moment it is on a pioneer 6.4" TV screen, so the words take a bit of getting used to.

Hope to get a VGS screen soon

you should fill in the info on your user account so that we know where you live. Easy to do.

So in the first line of your first post you didn't really say you live in the UK?

Route 66 is for the UK or you can get a European version as well.

MANY people will say that CoPilot is the best, but it lacks a bit in certain fields.

I perfer destinator. It's simple and fast, and the maps are just as detailed with out using a gig of space for each side of America. Destinators maps will all fit in about 200 MB including POIs.

Hi,

New to the forum but would recommend Infomap Navigator for the price and ease of use in the UK, link below shows where you can get one and a GPS from Doug at Action Replay.

At only £35 for the software (£110 including GPS) I think this is good value for money and cheap to update. It also installs in one go so no need to keep using the disk once loaded.

Some people on this site do not think much of the software but I have been using for a while now and had no problems. Im not saying its the best out there but for the price it is excellent.

Yes... It runs on PC. When you click "Buy", there is an option for PC/Laptop use.
