I just got mail from TravRoute about Copilot 7 Live. It is said to work with any NMEA compatible GPS!!!!!

It ships October 13th!!

This is very good news. All the rumors we've been hearing seem to be true

I wonder if it works with the Earthmate GPS. From what I have heard, it's advertised as NMEA complaint but it's really not.. For the price, the features of the Earthmate really can't be beat.. WAAS, fast fixing, USB powered, and the size is really good.. Too bad I ehar so much about how it doesn't work with any software

The only thing missing from this list is an SDK. Maybe it's possible to write some wrapper DLL's to intercept guidance and speech synthesis calls so that you can do something else with the information also..

I hope they offer the option to sell the software without the reciever for those of us that already have one. When it is due for release? I hope soon.

I got an email from them about the non-upgrade pricing. Here's the text:
