Win98 lite basic install?!?
Hey peeps! Just a quickie,
I have had a quick look around and was wondering what the gps software that can run on a basic windows 98 lite install would be.
I have just come to intsall my (trial) version of Autoroute Express 2002 but it needs IE and other office intergration type things to be installed?
So if anyone knows any GPS software out there that will run on a basic install I would love to know! (This is for the UK by the way).
If not then it looks likeI'm going to have to save up some £ and get me a Via ITX..
Oh well...
Cheers Peeps

I don't know exactly what you are trying to do,
but I am running win98lite WITH the internet stuff installed on a 120 P1 and 80megs of ram.
Your system looks significantly faster than that.
I am using a old destinator, or Street Atlas RWE.

in short, i dont have Ie or any office apps installed, due to speed issues, and i was just wondering what GPS software will run on a basic install, I think that navigator will do it after some research, but if anyone knows of any others then I would be glad to hear about it.
Cheers.

I can understand not wanting to run IE out of protest...
I did some poking around on Street Atlas, I did not see anything running in the background that looked like IE. (I used some task scanning software)
Probably if it runs on older computers...like win95 then you should be safe.
