Question destinator2/USA users? good gps?

Can anyone in the states recommend me a good USB or Serial GPS that will work with the Destinator2 software for PC?
I was thinking about that Saphire Mouse one, but I have only seen people in the UK using it and I don't know if it will work or whatever.

Thank You

I bought the Bundle package from J and R in NYC, and it was super. The GPS mouse is huge (compare to those mini gps mouse) But the reception was excellent. I'm comparing this to the crappy Delorme yellow GPS mouse that I bought before this bundle.

I used the Deluo GPS with Destinator on the IPaq, same GPS also works well on the PC although I do not have the PC version of Destinator.

I've been using Destinator 2 with a Delorme Earthmate receiver. Software works great-only issue I've noticed is that the voice assisted navigation doesn't always work correctly(the voice will warn you when your 500 yards away from a turn and sometimes you'll hear "right turn 500 yards" other times you'll just hear "yards"). Maps are getting old. I'm guessing that you shouldn't have any problems with the recievers as long as they are NEMA compliant. I like the look of the Saphire GPS-nice and small. One issue that I had with my setup is that the Delorme USB to serial driver wouldn't come out of hibernation properly. I bought a serial cable form Delorme and haven't had any problems since.

I use a Holux (GM-210 I think?) USB GPS receiver with Destinator 2 and it comes out of hibernation every time. Never had a single problem with this receiver, and reception is excellent. It's also very small compared to most of the others.

Yep just looked it up. Check this one out. I've also used it with several other GPS Software applications and it works flawlessly with all of them.

rgardjr, I've noticed the same thing with the voice navigation. It sucks in Destinator 2. Very buggy. I can't wait for the PC version of Destinator 3 to come out. Anyone heard anything new about this release? I hope they didn't forget about it.

It's good to see that USB and hibernation actually works. I haven't had any problems with my Lilliput touchscreen coming out of hibernation and it's USB. Bottom line is, some companys don't produce drivers that take hibernation into account. Delorme tech support advised me that hibernation isn't significantly faster so don't use it-too bad the guy was basing his assumtion on his personal desktop machine-not my car pc. Anyway, I'm looking forward to Destinator 3-hopefully all the bugs will be gone.

Thanks for the replies!
I am still looking for more Destinator2 compatible USB GPS's that people in the US are using. If anyone has one besides the ones mentioned above please share your experience.

Thank you very much
