Garmin GPS can be made to go on power-save mode. Not sure how much power you can save

kalito is on a distinguished road
is your idea leaving the gps on so when you come back from hybernation it will still work right! i was thinking about that.. and i thought why not connected to a usb hub with a tempoary cut off switch... (am i wrong on this--->usb gps is not detected bacause the pc thinks there isn't anything plug into it...that's why it doesn't send any power into it...or tries to read data from it) when the pc is back up from hyb. just push the cutoff switch(disconnected) and releasing it(reconnecting it) that way i can can make it think the i just unplug and replug the usb or anything else connected to the usb hub...do you think it can work or not?
