GPS Receivers

can i use any gps receiver (usb) with any software? i have a navman it came with streetfinder delux (2001)and its out of date, i live in boston and well alot of changes have been made. i wanna update to a different software but dont know if i can use my navman.

also what soft ware lets u resize text as in street names. and lets u exits on highway?? thanks in advance sam b.

Pretty much all software and all GPS units support the MNEA standard, so it should not be a problem getting them to work together. Some older software won't recognize a GPS on a USB port, but there are utilities that fake it such that it appears to the software to be on a standard com port. See it here:
