i bought mine from ebay, same price, was shipped within 2 days, asked the seller to drop the invoice value for customs, so i didnt pay GST or customs tax, very pleased with it

Nokia 6600. I have had no trouble getting Mapsend S&D Aus from e-mule.

Will mapsend work with a Garmin GPS on realtime tracking? I can get a position and after about 20 secs. I get the message "your gps is not transmitting". After clicking OK it disapears and I get a new fix but it is a few hundred metres from the last one and thenthe not transmitting message apears again. Will this only work with a Magellan?

Hey guys, thought I'd chip in a bit of info bout the lilliput u'r planning on buying - i picked one from up from HK - quick delivery, very good clarity screen!

Hey Dutch, how did you mount your lilliput in your REX? Did u go for the indash option...? keen to know cause i'd say my liberty would be similiar and i cant decide how 2 do it!!!

mines not all installed yet, still working on tweaking the software, im half way through using the dash sunglasses holder to store my lilliput lcd, in the end it will fold forwards once open, i've opted for this position as its more visable than where the 2DIN space is, as its a little too low and the gear stick gets in the way...

I've been playing with GPS software.. its all painful.. the best maps i have seen was the UBD, but it didn't support GPS. The melways maps didnt line up (it was just a scanned in copy of the melways and the streets didnt meet where the maps joined!! if i had paid $160 for that i'd not be pleased). I've been looking at Navigator Turn By Turn, has anyone seen this? i have been asking the suppliers ( http://www.ospreycomputing.com.au ) alot of questions and it sounds good apart from costing $275... I'd be interested in a group buy of the lilliputs as well, but what is their native resolution? every spec i see is different! (I'm in Melb btw)

u can download all the gps software u want from emula or from other p2p software. same with the maps.
i bought my lilliput TS vga lcd from ebay, around 400 with postage, no gst or customs, their native res is 800x480 (2400x480 where 2400 is made up of rgb pixels)..

ive got ozi explorer, havent used it yet but i am guessing that is not turn by turn..

havent managed to find navigator turn-by-turn yet, only just started with oziexplorer, so im still on the market for a good turn-by-turn gps software too..

if you order the trial version of destinator3 for PPCs, you get maps for all of australia..

magellan has a cdrom you can buy for it's GPS reciever which will pretty much covers all of australia.. It connects to GPS via a COM port.. It's called Discover Australia..
