Bu-303 Usb Gps
Hello.
I am about to buy a BU-303 USB GPS. Can anyone verify that this will work with Destinator2 PC? I don't want to spend 80$ on something that wont work.
Thanks!

Does destinator 2 PC (!) work with SIRF?
I thought it will only work with NMEA?

i don't know if it's a bug of the bu-303..
i got the problem, that gps-mouse sometimes isn't available after reboot or hibernate-mode!? i just have to plug it out and in, then it works fine..
but i think its a good gps-mouse..

never had an issue, after standby or hibernate GPS is always avaliable - maybe a dodgy unit or it could be your motherboard or even drivers...

I just wanted to report back saying that I bought the GPS and it works perfectly on Destinator. It gets perfect satellite fixes when you have a good view of the sky.

It might be a power issue on the usb port. I tried it on an passive USB-hub with 4,7V on the ports. After 5mins the GPS signal was lost, plug out and in helped for another 5mins.
The low voltage seems to activate the power save mode of the GPS mouse. Plugging the GPS directly into the VIA M10k USB port with 5,0V works (better...).
Using the active usb-hub-mode gives about 5,3V and works.
