Installation of Destinator

I've just tried to install Destinator SDK but there is a problem. I get runtime error when I click at GPS in mediacar. I haven't tried this before and I probably do something wrong.
Is it enough whith the SDK version and maps, or du I need the normal version also?
I've just installed it and then specified the *.exe file in the mediacar setup.
Error 13 something popups.

Hi,

I am running it like this, with the SDK installed, and the Pocket PC version maps copied over.

In MediaCar, you have 2 ways of running Destinator. The preferred way is to choose "Destinator" from the menu that pops up, or set it to always use Destinator. Don't enter the .exe name into the "External Application" box, as that will more than likely not work properly (i haven't ever tried it)

Give that a go, and if not, post back.

Thats what i'm doing, I have specified where Destnator is installad and I choose it from the "popup" (not as an external program). I still get the error message, could there maybe be som problem with the maps. I tried maps both from version 2 and 3 (pocket pc).

I have just tried removing the maps I have on mine, and it comes up with "Error. You must have at least 1 map installed", but doesn't quit right out.

Can you run DestinatorDaemon.exe directly from the C:\PowerLOC\Destinator folder, and see if that will open

I can't remember ever seeing that...

Can you try uninstalling both the Destinator SDK, and MediaCar, and trying both again

When you install the SDK, make sure you run the "InstallPC.exe" provided. You should then in the C:\PowerLOC\Destinator\ directory get Destinator.exe and DestinatorDaemon.exe

When you set up MediaCar, do not put in a file name for the External GPS It isn't needed, and may only confuse the matter

This is strange, i tried to reinstall. Still no "DestinatorDaemon.exe" and i'm started the installpc.exe. I have the "destinator.exe" though. The release is 2.1.07.

I deleted the file name for external program but still the same error messege.

Hrm...if you're installing the SDK (i am correct in assuming that, right?) then you should get those files i mentioned in that directory. That's what has happened on the 5 PC's i've installed the SDK on!
