Destinator Maps

I have Destinator 2 USA but I will be travelling in the UK and maybe Europe for a week soon, is there any way I can pick up the maps and add them in without having to buy it all over again? I'm not going to spend a fortune on D2 Europe just to use it for a week.

I have installed a new D3 map into my D2 system (UK) - laptop

The new map works fine to simply show my movements on screen. However, it seems unable to plot a route for me (with the new map) unless I restrict where I want to go, to places that were listed in the D2 maps (which are more limited than the D3 maps).

Any ideas of a solution?

Thanks

I have a similar problem using D2 SDK (I am hoping to write some code around it) and D3 map of the UK. I enter the location I want to go to or view and it returns me to a completely different area on the map. It is fine when tracking my position though.

Any ideas what the reason is and how it could be fixed?

I think it is reasonable to assume it is due to enhancements in D3 and that you have little or no hope of getting full D3 mapping with D2. That is the way upgrades work, from Destinator's point of view they want you to use the appropriate software and mapping versions.

I looked at the SDK to see if I could export addresses and import but this is not supproted under the D2 SDK.

Aw

Does D3 have an SDK? I don't want to fork out to get it if I can't code around it...

I was going to try and read a bunch of preferred locations and load them as waypoints or POI's or whatever the term is. I just got Routis instead.

Hell, if they would put custom POIs in Destinator I would be more than happy to have my programming go to waste!

The Destinator Maps (V2) suck badly. It doesn't even have the town I live in mentioned by name! I can see it on the map, but for some reason the authors forgot to name the town. Likewise for a few others I tried. We have a few thousand people here, so its not like its a farm and two cow sheds!

I quite liked my evalation of Destinator until I saw my whole town was missing!
