Weird Routis Behaviour

Hello All,

I am so close, yet so far away, from finaly completing the latest WiredWRX.

I have ditched Delorme for Routis (I like the Routis interface, it act and looks so much like the Navi in the lexus)

I have been doing some testing, and I realized that if I test the Navigation Speech, the first time I hear it say the complete word, which of course, escapes my memory now, as it should. But, if I hit the button again, the beginning of the word is cut off, but I hear the end of it. I thought that was weird. I then tried it while Winamp was playing a song, to see if I would hear the Navi Directions (I was trying to set the levels so I could hear it clearly over the music). So, music plays, hit the button in Routis to test the voice, and it plays the voice over the Music (Yipeee, it works) but then, dead silence. What happened I ask. Weird. I check the Sounds properties, and the WAV slider is all the way down. Slide it up, and viola, music. Hit the Navi button again, Hear the whole word, and then dead silence. WTF. Check the WAV Slider, back down again. SO I check, after the Navi finishes saying something, it automatically moves the WAV slider to the bottom, so nothing comes out of the speakers.

IS THIS NORMAL? Can I chenge it. If not, I think I got some Routis SW for sale.

Michael

I have not had that problem at all. I am using Routis embedded in MediaCar, and I can clearly hear the guidance voice while playing music. It even seems to lower the music volume while talking -- very cool.

I am running VIA Epia 1000 with USB sound card, and XP Pro.
