Navigation software for Europe

What's the best Navigation software pacgage for Europe. I live in Switzerland and have AutoScout 2004. It's Ok, but the map's are not very detailed. I need something with detailed maps, voice navigation and ease of use. Any recomendations?

I am wondering about the same. Mappoint2004 is a good program but I use mappoint 2002 becouse it is a last version that covers norway.

The maps are not super detailed but inuff for have fun with griving with gps.
Voice controll is not an option in mappoint, but some guys from this forum are working on voice interface for mappoint 2002...

Have you tried route 66 (not voice) or destinator 2?

I use Infomap Navigator in the UK and it has maps for the whole of europe. It is very good and has voice guidance too in several languages. Very reasonably priced too.

I strongly recommend Navigator. The software is only £49.99 for the whole of Europe including GB & Ireland and Switzerland. Maps are from TeleAtlas so are as good (or bad) as anyone elses. Voice directions, map rotation and auto recalc if you go off-route.
I've seen the new version and it's looking superb. Bigger icons, better junction diagrams. Maps look much nicer with more detail including house numbers, routing and re-routing is improved. Cross countries routing is now available. Routes can be planned ahead and saved. In fact just about everything I've ever been asked for!

Regards
Doug

Are you sure, I've just downloaded the D3 maps, and they are letting me route. Well on my PC indoors haven't tried in the car yet.

must admit they don't look that different to D2 maps.
