New to the forum so hi to everyone
I recently purchased a Sapphire GPS mouse (USB) and tested it with my laptop (running Windows XP Pro) from within my car. It worked fine and got a good fix on the satellites when placed on the dash.
I recently finished the installed of my carputer (Epia MII 10000 running Windows 2000 professional) and everything is working fine with that. The problem comes when I connect the Sapphire.
I cannot get a fix when the mouse is on the dashboard, it has to be outside on top of the car before any signs of life are shown, then it's ok and it finds satellites no problem.
If I bring the receiver back inside and plug it into the original test laptop it's fine and will quickly find satellites when it's on the dashboard
Anyone got any ideas as to what could be going on?
