UK motorway camera database

I've been putting links to various traffic cameras onto Autoroute, starting with some motorways in the south. M4, M5, M27 around Bristol, S Wales, Reading, Southampton and Exeter.

Now added M8, M80, M74, M7, M9 and M90 around Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Download here

I'm working in Autoroute 2001 at the moment and can't export the pushpins. If anyone can extract the data to other packages let me know.

I will be adding cams in Scotland, and then try and move on to some A roads and London.
Most of the links are pop-ups (about 3k), some are web pages, so fairly easy on your data.

Let me know if you find any problems
Cheers

I use infomap navigator (good spoken directions), the pro version of which allows you to add locations from a database (excel, comma delimited etc)

The current version does not have a POI alarm function but I am told by them that the next version may have..

Enforcer, the idea is you can check traffic at different junctions etc. before you leave or in the car through your mobile. Most of these webcams update every 5 mins or so making them a bit more up to date than some of the traffic info.

I've got some ideas on how this could be used with other packages to work while you're driving, but for now I'm just finding as many cams as I can.

I think when the highspeed mobile internet prices come down and more of us can have always on internet connection in the car then it could be a great addition.

Nice 1 I was worrying I couldn't do anything with the data. Hope you don't mind converting a couple more when I expand it.

With these cams I can either link to the image directly (less space used on screen), or link to the normal pop-up (bit bigger but often with time info, direction facing, other stuff). If anyone uses this and has a preference let me know.

I'm goin on holiday monday and was hoping to use the data on the way down (for the severn bridge etc)

Gutted I A) couldn't find my mobile phone and B) couldn't find anywhere that sells the data cable

Was looking forward to using the jamcams on the way down (about 20 miles before) to see the traffic, will just have to wait until after I get back
