Would you also recommend that as an acurate GPS as well? The refresh rate is not nearly important as the actual street-level precision.....are there any specific modules that are known to be accurate w/ good drivers and compatible with Routis 2k4 ?

no, precision comes with the availability of WAAS / EGNOS coverage.
furthermore, a good GPS navigation system should snap to the street by itself
