New Version of Routis??

I e-mailed Deluo about a few things that could be easily address in Routis, and they sent me a reply stating...

We have escalated your email to our Routis Team. Unfortunaltely we do not have an ETA for the new Routis version yet, but we hope to release it in about 3-6 weeks.

Any ideas what all this might entail??

Interesting. Would be nice if we can use the updated maps and more importantly, a better POI database with the existing 2004 version. If they say a new version will be released in 3-6 weeks, then I doubt your suggestions will make it.

Thanks for the info.

I would really really really like an SDK, so I could customize it.

Check out some screen shots here:

Briefly this is what was mentioned as the improvement made in this version:
On offer are:
- Geo-features (water, parcs, airports, etc...)
- a new 3D mode showing the size of the road
- hotkeys (map a button to a function)
- Vastly enlarged POI database with many new categories

Destinator better get a move on with ver 3 for pc, especially if an SDK becomes available for iGuidance by iNav, Routis by Deluo or PrymeNav by Pryme Advance.

Thanks for the heads up and link. I hope there is an upgrade for current users. That'd be really nice.

Wow, geographical features. Better POI. Looks like somebody has been doing their homework. Right now, I have Routis loaded as my nav program and Rand McNally for POIs and such. Would love to just use one program.

Man, I just bought Routis so if there isn't an upgrade I'm going to be very ****ed. :/

All of those new features are the reason I use mapopolis over routis.
