How do I set this up! (Destinator)

I got a GPS mouse off of ebay, and d/l Destinator off of the Hub.... How in the heck do I set it up? Every time I open the installer, it says that there are no mobile devices connected. How do I install this onto a PC??

Thanks!

have you installed the software with the mouse. It should give you a vitual com port.
then you need to tell Destinator which port that is.

You're trying to run the installer for a ppc, you need the pc version.

I am now away from my home PC, and at work.

What do I need to do when I get home to get it to work?

I am havent done any programming in years, and have no idea what to do with SDK's.

Are there instructions in the zip file?

if i remember correctly its been a while you install the sdk it then creates a dir called powerloc and then a sub dir called destinator, you then copy the maps (what ever country you are using) to the maps folder then run the exe
something along those lines.

Hmm

I've been playing with the SDK today and have a question though

Ok, so I've got the maps working but when I have to switch map do i seriously have to figure out which map I need ( E1, E2, E3, or G1A for germany ?)

I need to unpack the maps to c:\powerloc\destinator\[nameofmap] ?

Isn't there a way that I can simply unpack to c:\powerloc\destinator\germany\[PARTX] and it automatically knows what map it needs ? this is kind of a hassle or am I missing something here ? I'm pretty luck to live in belgium as such a small country is fit into 1 map ;-). .but in germany I don't feel like going 180 on the Autobahn and then needing to switch maps with a lucky guess if I now need G1A or G6b ?

Thanks

Big wave for this excellent short instruction :-D - just remember that it seems that you have to at least install one map in order for getting it to work, and the maps you copy over has to be in their own folder, otherwise the program keeps on crashing or at least that is my experience when using the D3 maps, now it will stand a true roadtest next weekend when running down to a car meet around 550 miles south of me, and then cross Denmark to visit my mom, a journey of a total in the end around 2000 miles, if it can guide me correct here it will be applied to my carPC otherwise AutoRoute from Ms is going to win the contest.
