gps erratic cursor

when I plug my gps serial connection and then power it with the keyboard ps2 connection the cursor bounce all over the screen and does not work. I am using xp pro and teletype software. help please

Known bug, anything plugged on the serial port is considered a mouse by windows...
you have to go in control panel and forbid the mouse driver from even looking at the serial port...

Let Device Manager see it and freak out. While the PC is on, unplug it, go to Device Manager and disable it. problem solved.

I get that same thing with the GPS on occasion, maybe its the usb to serial driver?
