So, what is a good USB GPS mouse to get now around $100, with good refresh rate and support for many of the good GPS titles?

Things may have changed since then though.... that was 7 years ago now.

There is the USB Earthmate, which I think he was making reference to. The old serial only interface Earthmate did Rockwell binary, which is supported under many applications today. The new Earthmate has detachable interfaces, meaning you can have either usb/db9 serial/pda/bluetooth attachments. Granted I would not recommend the unit unless you buy it with something other than the usb adapter. It also makes for something easily stolen as the cable is detached at the base of the unit.

I don't want to sound like I am beating a dead horse, but...

get the rayming tn-200. It is $99. It works great with mappoint, and every other mapping package. Works under linux, windows, etc.

I have worked with GIS/GPS for a living for 12 years. It is a good receiver for the money and will not give you any trouble because it has zero moving parts.

No, I don't have stock in rayming.
