Ireland

I posted this in another thread by accident meaning to start a new topic...

Is anyone here from Ireland or uses GPS in Ireland on a regular basis? If so what navigation software do you use?

I have tried Destinator and have been looking around for something with more Irish coverage, particularly in Northern Ireland. Most packages have 100% coverage of England, Scotland and Wales but less than 20% of NI (most of which I know without GPS!) and about 30% of the Republic of Ireland.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Any other ideas? (No offence, I just would like to use my GPS to get me places rather than vice versa...)

On the other hand, the map editor looks nice, I mean if I can't get GPS coverage I could create a map of Ireland from a scan or a digital OS map and use your system? So then even if I couldn't route at least it could show me where I am... Although on my little tiny screen it won't be very useful. Maybe it's time to buy a lilliput...

What kind of spec does NavSys require? And what kind of input can I use with it?

well, thing is, if there's no commercially available street data for northern Ireland, and no-one seems to care, you're stuck with my proposition...
