From MoFo instruction above, after installed the driver from Delorme, you have to restart the PC as requested by the installation software. That the only thing MoFo left out. COOLLLLLL.

[edit] Before follow MoFo instruction, I did try to install on my desktop but the PC keep reboot when selecting the COM port. The driver is the one I download couple weeks ago. I am not sure it is the same driver I down load today or not. So that is the different for me. [/edit]

I'm glad it worked for you MatrixPC. I know how frustrating that blue screen was.

Yeah, Matrix, I'm up and running. I used it today as a matter of fact. I'm sure you were just asking me that because you were still having problems, but I figured I'd answer ya anyway.

Ok I have some problem with hibernation again.
If I have the GPS plugin along with USB wifi card, usb memory card reader, or usb HD, the computer will hibernate. But when restart from hibernation, none of those USB devices work including the GPS.
If the GPS is NOT plug in when I put the system to hibernate, all those USB devices work as normal when restart from hibernation.
unplug and replug the GPS or any other USB devices doesn't do much. Basically all usb devices for the system are disappear.
Any idea?

I'm pretty sure it wont work in the trunk.
I have mine on the rear deck but I would like to weatherproof it and put it outside the car like Veetid did in this thread: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/gps/28219-earthmate-not-weatherproof-need-help.html.

I have sometime today to try the new driver on my carpc and it work wonder. However the hibernation is still a problem. The GPS work fine after hibernation but USB WiFi is not working and so the USB Keyboard and memory card reader.
If the comptuter is going to hibernate while Routis is running, when come back, Routis doesn't get any GPS signal (maybe I am not waiting long enought). Close routis and re-open, GPS signal will come in like within 5 second. Getting the GPS to lock is depend on where the receiver is. If I put on the daskboard, it will lock to sat within 10 second after Routis is on. Right now I have the receiver in the glove compartment and it can lock up to 5 or 6 sat within a min or 90 secs. So at least I don't have to use any COM port forwarding stuff.
Thanks Curiosity for a great Xport program. Although I am not using it now but I know I will use it sometime in the future. GPS stuff is getting addictive
Thanks MoFo for the instructions for this new driver and Wi77iam for the port forwarding idea.
