Whats a good GPS reciever?

I have been looking through the gps fourm and i hav notice alot of people uses Deluo. So i guess Deluo is pretty good if everyone is using it. Is there any other alternative to this gps reciever? are the cheap on eon ebay serve the same purpose? what the different between them?

I have the TripNav, it works great, is well made and waterproof...

I too like the look of that software, looks expensivebut think it would be worth the investment. Been trying to search for a picture of a guy i saw on one of the sites i went to, he had a 4x4 with 2 screens in, on one he had the satalite pictures type, and on the other he had the coloured lines and other navigation stuff on.

Anybody seen it about, have done a bit of googling but not fond anything.

Not expecting it to there to be a version for the UK market but still would like to hope.

yea that **** would be hot! if u can get satelite picture in real time like that one movie...where the government watchs us and stuff hahahah!

i have loads more but will have to find them, from what i can make of it it looks like one or more company's/people have taken a plane up and photed most of the UK and US, so in theroy should be posible, but expensive.

On one of the sites it is nearly £25.00 for a small pic about 1/2k square.

I was looking into getting satalite pictures at one time. There is a government website (US) that has old pictures of the US, but its not very useful. I know you can query the database with co-ordinates and it will return a picture but I can't remember what it was... if I find it I will post

I have the iTrek serial mouse GPS and have been very happy with it. I got it along with the iGuidance (same as routis) software here:

Seems the most common GPS solution on this forum is USB GPS mice. They can be purchased for about $50-$60 on Ebay. I have the DConnex model and it works great.

comes with the software that you pictured? Not sure what it is tho.
Its really up to you what reciever you get, Garmin do make some good ones tho. I have an older GPS 12 now, that I can test out when the cable comes in the mail. But am still thinking about a GPS mouse

Probably Delorme Topo5. that does this split screen with on being ariel/sat imagery. Its too slow for a 1.2Ghz PC and not workable with a touchscreen though.
