Routis/Hibernation problems

I have one of the BU-303 receivers that you buy on Ebay. Whenever I hibernate in Routis and start it back up I get a "make sure your gps device is properly connected error" and I have to restart Routis to get it to work again. This is only happening when I am in Routis (works perfectly through hibernation with Destinator). I am having the same problem with two seperate computers, one a laptop and one ATX. I know some other people were having the same problem. Has anyone found a solution?
Thanks

I believe this is a common problem with may USB devices coming out of hibernate (I'm guessing you have XP), I've heard the XP SP2 is supposed to address this issue.

Hmm.. Interesting. You think that it is a problem with it being USB although it works with Destinator? Thanks for the info.

You shouldn't have to restart Routis. There is a little button at the top that if you mouseover has a tooltip "Connect to GPS Receiver" or something like that. Just click, it'll start working again.

Works for me.

I will have to try that. I remember seeing that button. Still sucks to have to do that, but that is a whole lot better then having to restart the whole thing. Thanks.

Opps, I missed the part about Destinator working fine. That sucks then because I have the same issue with Routis and was hoping SP2 was going to be the big fix.

Is this more of a software or hardware problem. I have a Delorme USB GPS that will be going in my car along with Routis. Just trying to stop a problem before it starts.

I don't know if this would work, but has anyone tried putting the gps on a powered usb hub? That might allow the mouse receiver to power up and be ready to initialize as soon as physically possible.

Just a shot in the dark....

Sorry, I didn't mean to go to the menu and do the auto-detect thing... There's actually a button on the top button bar, I think it's the furthest to the right, that if you click it once will reconnect to the GPS immediately. It's actually a toggle, so I guess if you wanted to turn the GPS off you could too. Not sure its intended use, but it definitely reconnects immediately, at least with my eBay GPS mouse.

Cheers!

It's actually in the top left corner to the right of the "N" button

I just realized today that Routis comes out of Hibernation perfect for me.
I left frodoplayer1.08 and Routis 2004 running and put the computer into hibernate all night...the next day....Bam!..I came out of hibernate, Frodoplayer resumed the music and after a few seconds Routis was tracking me.

I'm using the Delorme Earthmate USB w/ newest drivers.
The GPS is plugged into a powered 4-port usb hub.
Windows XP / SP1 integrated.
Compaq 700us laptop.
