Retreive Long And Lat

Ok guys... I have a chat program some may be familiar with (mIRC) running on my home computer, and i have written a script for it to respond to commands sent to it via txt msg from my cell phone, well i would also to like to have the same sort of thing on my carputer... one of the features i would like to integrate would be anytime the pc has an internet connection, the pc would email me or txt msg me of the longitude and latitude of my car at the moment... sort of a safety feature

any ideas on how to retrieve the long and lat directly from the gps receiver in mirc, or through some other software and then to mirc?

not an expert, but I would think you could just read the NEMA data coming from the GPS receiver, then have your program send the data out to mirc. Shouldnt be too hard.
