You are welcome...

NMEA is in ASCII and SIRF is in binary presentation and normally run at higher baudrate. They are not compatible with each other.

If it work with Destinator 2 then just copy the same setting to IGuidance.

Destinator should show you if its set to SIRF or NMEA and at what parameters the comport should be set to.

Iguidance should support SIRF and NMEA at different baudrate, Im not sure. Other I-Guidance user should be able to verify this with you.

Thats all I can help you with.

Good luck

Okay, I found out that the GPS is SIRF. Well, that's what listed in Destinator. Does that mean that I can't use this GPS for iGuidance?

Its an area in London where anyone try to enter it get charge £5, about $9

They operate from something like 8am-6pm during the weeks. Lots of camera are placed around the area and take picture of the car as soon as you pass the boundary.

The idea is supposed to reduce the traffic in that area. It worked a little but it made many businesses to close down due to drop in sales.

The roads just outide the area is a nightmare since everyone is trying to avoid the charge.

According to some site Iguidance 2 is bundled with SIRF GPS receiver as a package. So i guess its just a matter of playing with the setting and you are done.

I know you don't have iguidance 2 so it would be extremely difficult for you to help me. But iguidance 2 doesn't seem to have much on configuring the GPS.

All it has is an AUTO Detect. Which failed for me.
And a Com menu that has from Com 1 all the way to Com 2something.
And a baud from 4800 to 153600.

The SIRF configuration in destinator exceeds the 153600.
And the iguidance doesn't give me an option to change from NMEA to SIRF.
I tried to change destinator to NMEA to find out it's configuration, but none works, only SIRF works in Destinator.

This is beginning to kill me.

If you can't change iguidance to SIRF then you need to change the GPS to output NMEA, if it will.

blah blah blah!

the software has autodetect, or you can set com port or baud rate. that's it! I am using a USB Delmore Earthmate with USB to serial drivers under NMEA 1.1.

Yeah, I tried that...but somehow it refuse to detect it. And in Destinator 2, it only detect as SiRF. I checked Destinator site, and their GPS (Leadtek) supports NMEA.

If I know how to change the GPS to output NMEA, problem solve... I think.

Okay, I finally fixed the problem.
How I fixed it? By changing the protocol on the GPS from SiRF to NMEA.

Apparently, Destinator only seems to work with the newer faster SiRF.
And iGuidance only supports the slower NMEA protocol, but 98% of the world uses.

Want to thank Ricky for @ least trying to help out.
And I also want to thank Laidback to give me the idea to change the GPS Mouse output protocol from SiRF to NMEA.
