BU-303 not working correctly
I have a problem with my BU-303 GPS mouse.
I have installed it on my pc and laptop, and have the same problem with both.
After I have installed the driver and plug in the mouse. I have a problem getting my pc/laptop to recognise the com port assigned to the mouse. Using the application that came wit the mouse, I click the ‘scan com port’ button and sometimes it will find the port and others it wont. I have tried connecting using two application, Autoroute and InfoMap. Also tried using HyperTerminal.
When it does work, it does so for a bout 2 or 3 minuets and the problem persists until I reboot or mess about with the com port settings.
Is it the unit or my PC and Laptop, they are both running Win2k.
Thanks for any help,
Mik

Works fine for me.
My Microsoft Mappoint saw it easily as a com port, I did have to install all the Windows Updates on one of the computers because I hadn't done it in a while (Windows 2000).
Try that, if not...you've got a defective one or try another USB slot so it automatically adds more com ports.

I think its a com port conflict, what other applications use your com ports ?
check this out, uninstall all of them, install the gps first and then the other applications.
Things to look out for:
Microsoft Activesync
Cellphone software (number updates, phone books etc)
Bluetooth applications
and you get the idea, its probably somehting that looks for the com port every few minutes to do a sync / update that is messing you around.

In my case, the com port is not recognized by the software from the cd, but my gps software works ok more or less.
