does mappoint point towards the driving direction?

hi all

i have routis and mappoint installed but i prefer looking at mappoint maps because of the larger font, but is there anyway to make mappoint point towards the driving direction like in routis?

Yes, if you're heading north!

That reminds me of a Tom Lehrer song about math. At one point he says that 'counting in base eight is just like counting in base ten. If you're missing two fingers.'

Mappoint by itself doesn't provide a heading-up mode, since it's really not meant for in-car navigation. But you could probably do it yourself in code by generating the map and then using something like this to rotate the picture.

Nope

No, the image is always:

North is always UP (top of the screen).

So if you are heading toward the LEFT of the screen, you are heading WEST.

Of course then all of the text would be rotated too.

I dunno if you're aware of this software, but it's a must have for using Mapoint. Not sure if it keeps the map rotating, but it's something you'll want to have reguardless.
