zoom out from the map once, thats what i did. I think viewing at max zoom in on the map is the problem. Just zoom out abit the arrow path matches the roads.

You Lie I bought myt delorme from their website. flew to california to buy a car and used the gps to drive back. I lost signal in nevada, colorado, nebraska, ohio, and illinois, all during a rain. IN DIFFERENT STATES! On normal days it catches every signal, but on rainy days (i'm not talking about drizzles, i'm talkin about RAIN) can't get a signal, and i live in chicago mind you

I also have an Earthmate and get a clear signal clear or raining (pouring) up in NY. But I most say there are certain days (even on clear days) for no apparant reason the receiver really struggles to get any kind of lock. Heard that could be due to radio interference which the earthmate seems to be sensative to.

you probably didn't factor in that many car manufacturers put glass with coatings on them that block clear signals from GPS, WiFi, and XM move the GPS reciever to another location or get an external antenna if you get crappy reception

I'm not sure why everybody hates street atlas.....It sucked for me at first cuz I screwed around with the settings, but I called delorme and they had me reset the settings to factory defaults and it's been great since (also I copied the data from the cd to my computer so I dont need the cd anymore, like they recommend). Ever since the software has been flawless, and I'll be purchasing street atlas 2005 soon!

Well I haven't done anything to the settings outside of zooming in. As mentioned before this allows you to see flaws in their maps. It'll show your position off the road which I think is crap. Also I have an example of how they are wayyyy off on their maps. I work for a pretty large retail organization. One of the biggest. We have a Corporate office here in Atlanta and this is where I work and it's on a pretty major road. When I put in my home address and my work address for a route(only a fifteen minute ride) not only does it not recognize some of the streets I try to redirect it through, but it also does not give the right location for my work address. It shows the road as some road that doesn't even exist three or so miles west of the actual road and it shows that my office is like 5 miles from where it actually is. To me that sux and has nothing to do with settings. I mean dag how do they not even have zip codes right?
