Anyways, I see this is a UK Site so I am woundering about the AM/FM frequency portability to the US. I think they're the same, but I don't know the exact specs.
Ricky - Would you happen to now the GPS functionality is just a Gain Receiver antenna that still needs to be plugged into a GPS Receiver gevice or can this signal be used directly to the computer?
Yes one of the AE antenna...infact most of the antenna there should help those whos having problem with GPS signals. But I think I like the AE so I can just replace the standard antenna in the car rather than having to drill a hole on the roof.
Not sure if the FM/AM frequency range are the same with the UK and US. It does say the frequency range it can covers so I guess it just a matter of checking this with the US FM/AM frequency.
You need a GPS receiver with an external antenna connector to be able to use this antenna. It just an antenna no GPS receiver built in.
um..can gps be usb for these
If the receiver have external antenna socket yes.
I havent use one of this antenna (just passing on the message) but I think its cool having one in a car rather than placing the GPS on top of the dash...it will get stolen as well having to put up with poor signal.
The antenna similiar to the AE cost £80 in maplin :
