GPS Mouse Dont know which to pick

I am looking for a GPS mouse that I can hide. It seems like it is a challenge for everyone.

This one has lot of goodies.. and is water resistant but you need line of site so no hiding

This?

According to another post this one can be hidden, but no where does it state than you can.
“you can buy GPS receiver with Xtrac2 chipset. They could even lock a signal 5 feet inside a building under a garbage bin. I'm pretty sure it can easily get a lock inside a glovebox”

I looked into them and found that they have a delay problem, and again they recommend line of sight but they work in canyons and stuff, and no support for WAAS.

Or This

I like the first one really or should I go with the BU-303? If I can’t hide it in the glove box, I want the most features, most map software friendly, best sat hit rate etc I can get!

I've been using GPS for a while, and nothing has beat the update speed in my G35. If you can find a GPS reciever with a fast update speed, that's going to be the best one. The reason for this, is that the faster the updates, the more acurately the GPS software can make changes, alert you, and reroute you if needed. I have a spare reciever that updates 2 times every 3 seconds and it's FAR too slow. The one in the G35 updates 3 times a second. That's so much better. (It also seems to keep better track when going under tunnels and through covered parking lots.

AFAIK all GPS receivers will need to be able to "see" the satellite to get a lock.

If you want to hide the main receiver, the only way that I know of doing it would be to have an extra antenna that has line of sight to receive the signal.

This Bluetooth GPS receiver comes with an external antenna as standard.

Any good??

I'm a fan of the BU-330 gps mouse, popular over ebay. Its small and locks faster than ANY other non-generic receiver I've seen (prove me wrong)

Got mine for $67 shipped from Hong-Kong to Jersey. Never hear complaints about it.

Here is the ebay auction that I won:

And here is a current auction from the same seller:

My BU303 works while it is hidden. I have it shoved under one of the pad things at the top of my back seat. It locks super fast and I have never had a problem with it. Plus it is far less expensive than most. Got mine for $54 on Ebay. That was including shipping.

Believe it or not my EarthMate USB GPS(using the serial drivers) locks quick and I was sitting on my bed about 6ft from the window, loading my GPS software, window blinds were shut, and it locked onto some Sats like 2 or 3 off and on I was just surprised that it did it, it's got me thinking about taking my dash off and mounting it under there, well maybe not

Differences?:: Is the GPS35 (update rate) really worth twice the price ???

GPS35 - Update Rate: 1 second, continuous (programmable from 1 second to 15 minutes)

GPS18 - Update rate: 1 to 900 seconds between updates; programmable in 1 second increments
