Hijinks21 has helped you, considering you posted this in the GPS technical forum and not the CLASSIFIED forum. If all you are looking for is a going rate for MapPoint 2004, why not try SEARCHING somewhere that sells MapPoint?

Hell, even a search here will bring up quite a few threads providing some insightful knowledge of this product.

Oh yeah, try helping yourself first before criticizing respected members of this forum (that have offered pages of help) for giving your their $0.02.

Yah, I'm using S&T '05 wich is why I haven't opened it...seems like a lot less for almost as much. I was considering trying this with the plugin but only if the software, unopened, didn't have enough value for me to sell it. That's why I asked for advice here, I wanted to see if I was wrong in what I had been told and have always got help here when I needed it.

Not to start a flame war here but I will post in the "CLASSIFIEDS" when I am "SELLING" something. I just wanted some advice and rather then give it (as you stated he has in the past) hijinks not only didn't answer my questions but he effectively hijacked this thread so that the resulting conversation didn't answer as well. Remmember this wasn't the "why mappoint sucks" thread. However, even if it was, a post of 5 words still don't help.

I will move on to post this on eBay and the classifieds section as it is NOW for sale.

My apologies if I am short-fused (I argue for a living) but respected or not... he didn't have to reply and help me but any reply should have been aimed at that goal, otherwise click the back button and move on.

Sell it? Open it?

This hardly sounds like a technical advice request......

My point was that this was an unnecessary post. The answer you are looking for could been easliy found in any of the well know websites that sell software. My post count is low because I SEARCH the hell out of this site (like we need another lilliput vs. xenarc thread.....) and make use of the abundance of readily available information.

You could have written:
"Hey guys, I've got an unopened MapPoint 2004 CD. I've heard that it sells for about $300, and I'm thinking about selling it. Does this sound fair?"

Good luck
