I tried this out last night. Worked a treat.

Me and my mate were driving around with his GPS plugged into my laptop and I'd forgotten I had the cameras loaded into Destinator. I saw a speed camera and suddenly thought "oh, I wonder why it hasn't warned me yet".

We drove through it and right in the middle of the white markings the alert went off!!! Nice and accurate! I've increased the alert distance to 400 yards and that seems to work quite nicely.

OK, here is a list of all the UK speed cameras and redlights, including the individual ones (so you can have the different ones showing up at different places on the map )

Get them here

Click Destination (as if you were going to plan a route), then you'll see an option for Favourites. (Along with address, POI etc etc)

So correct me if I'm wrong.

The DAT files in YOUR zip file will provide me with the appropriate icons on the map AS WELL as the Auto Alerts when I approach ANY speed camera/red light camera.

I dont think they will provide any audio alerts unless you rename the dat. At the moment you can have only 2 audio alert dat files

Most of the 30s and 40s i know of are shown as such. Therefore I would assume they are correct and in MPH

Strange.. in my Destinator I'm still seeing a generic speed camera symbol instead of the relevant speed icon.

On the up-side, however, this data seems to be more up-to-date. It's showing the recently installed cameras around my area.

Is it possible to use confused speed camera data with one auto alert?

The data seems very upto-date! but i'm obviously only getting the 2 voice alerts for 2 dat files.

Can I simply combine all the dat files into one? I'm not bothered about a different voice alert for each speed, just one voice alert for all the dat files would be brilliant.

Also does this data you have get updated confused?

I found a way to make it auto alert you of any POI's before I stuffed my system up, it was in one of thie ini files. Just added all the other FAV catagories after the autoalert 1 & 2 in the ini... IIRC its not documented and I can't remember exactly how I did it, but it is possible... I'll have a play and see if I can do it again.

You sure? We've had a good go at this a while back and didn't get anywhere.
