sorry to sound dumb but what does this do? I know they are the pictures and sounds for speed camera's.

Once installed as per read me what next? Do I need to import the speed camera database?

no, you already have.. the alert 1 and alert 2.dat files are the uk POI already. Just install and thats it :-) nothing more.. O you could drive around and test it for me as I havent had chance yet

As for what should it do.. it will warn you when you are coming upto camera's by playing a sound and telling you how far off you are from it.

Could do with a vb tool that changes the speed camera csv into the required .dat files. Now that would be so nice.

Works great from the test I've just done on my laptop (DestSDK 3.1 using PDA maps). It's missing some cameras from around Kent that were installed in the last 9 months.

That is great CdRsKuLL, I have looked at the Auto Alert.DAT files with notepad and they clearly are not any form of CSV or text file. I how can I update this file with other known cameras. The one that took a Kodak moment with my car last month in Evesham is not on there!

What format is this file in?

Thanks in anticipation

Brilliant job CdRsKuLL... very easy to implement.

Just wondering if its possible to increase the alert time as i get the sound alert just as i'm passing the a camera.

to increase the alert time, go into fav's highlight say Alert 1, then goto tools (at the top) and click edit.. change the alert from 50 to 100 yards.. theres also a second alert which is there.. not tried this one yet.

Cheers

Steve

Both alerts work in my testing, you have to set the first one to more than 100 though.
