TripMate Driver

hey everyone, i got my GPS today but it didnt came with the driver. So i was wondering if anyone has (of know where i can find) the Software driver for the "DeLORME Tripmate" GPS.

I second this request... Does anybody know where to get the driver? And what GPS program it can be used with?

The first result I got in Google says "First, it is a serial device (4800,8,n,1 with no flow control) so it does not require drivers to work, just a program that communicates across a RS-232 serial connection. "

A number of other results suggest that a non standard string of "ASTRAL" needs to be sent to the unit to start it. I don't know anything about such units or whether standard software sends this string. Just rehashing what I read.

Thanks, I'll look into it and let you know. What I need to find is the Tripmate Hack I've been reading so much about. I think its just to mod the unit so it sends ITSELF the Astral command, but I'm not sure yet. I'm still in the dark on the whole GPS thing
