Any idea on how new/old the maps in this version are? Do they use the navteq maps?

Oct 2004 is the dataset, not sure if tey use navteq, I dont think they do as they have been making most of their own maps since 97 or something. They usually have all of the streets in my area pretty quickly

I haven't asked about that, they seem stuck in their ways on that one. I'll probably order it up and try it out.

If you want the new WAAS receiver it's a $199 upgrade.

I love the software, I have 2003 right now. But the lack of a quality voice really brings it down.

What's wrong with the voice quality on Copilot live?

it's too robotic like

if they would let you use the AT&T TrueVoice if you have them installed it would be nice.

It's horrible when compared to competing products. I switched from CoPilot to Routis for this reason alone, even though I think that CoPilot's gui is much better.

Yes, there are new features - including a new '3d' map.

any nmea compliant or the copilot receiver, the new one (Live8) is WAAS enabled.

i use copilot because of copilot live, that feature out weights voice, i never can hear it to begin with so i don't care too much, i look down and see when a turn is. i had live on while driving from MN to CO last summer and my mom would check in and see where i was at and send me messages.
