Serial NMEA reading

I want to get GPS information from my serial GPS receiver. I can do it with JEEPS library. At the same time I want my trusty navigation program to use the GPS receiver. Is there any way to have two application reading information from the serial port at the same time?

Search for virtual com splitter, or something similar. There is a solution on these boards.
