Microsoft streets & trips question...?
Is There anyway to get MS Streets & Trips 3005 to actually voice guide on a route. It is very distracting having to look down at my monitor to see when the next turn is coming.

I didn't realize they had come out with 3005 already!
There was a thread about this...to sum it up I believe that there was a plug-in that made it possible for earlier versions but it does not work with 2005.

I've been using MS streets from the minute I got my GPS and I think it works pretty awesome, although did find the same problem you do. I'm currently trying out the Voice enabled Destinator 3. The trial version and all the maps are availible for like 15 bucks. The full program runs around 170 I think. My take on it compared to MS is..
it's a great voice guidance system with visual aids that will flash the complete screen at the turn and verbaly anounce aprroaching 500-200 and less yards to turn. It also does a better job in it's display of the surrounding areas you drive through, but I feel as though MS streets gave better directions. It seems the two programs have completely different ways of routing you, but I think I'm being lead through neighborhoods to cut corners because it's stuck in "quickest route." I think I'm gonna stick with MS though, since it's only 30 bucks. I figure I can make up for the lack of verbal commands by relying on my keen pilotage skills. goodluck
ps, how do you sink MS street with your computer's clock.. it start my trip at 9 everytime regardless.

iGudiance is what I would recommend for voice guidance. Although you should also try Destinator3 by Ninja Monkey.

Street Atlas 2005 is what I use and it does voice guidance very nicely. Also has voice recognition for various functions like 'zoom in', etc.

Same originial code, just modified by iGuidance. iGudiance has more POIs and has parks marked on the map.
