Your specific answer is right here.... this is on a silver platter... I tried it myself.

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...50&postcount=9

Okay guys... it's time to try a bit harder. I am not normally one to wave the flag, but in this case... everthing you need is in this thread. I had not done the update myself yet as I had not had a chance and I am here to tell you that it worked for me first attempt. I simply did a cut/paste/save as theme.ini with notepad in the same directory as iguidance.exe and it worked first time. You will just have to try a bit harder, it's no more complicated than that. If it still does not work, your will have to call INav for tech support or try a re-install as there must be something wrong with your installation. This thread is already big enough without more begging.

Sorry... I feel for you guys, but this does work and it is not rocket science...

I suggest using this thread to get your troubles sorted out. Shrillw started it...

just open it with notepad and get to the part at the bottom of the file that says

STS=20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20

the 20's are the font sizes. Just so you know this line is all that is in my theme ini file cuz I just wanted the fontsize changed and nothing else.

I just got my V2.1 installed. Which of these mods mentioned in this thread apply to 2.1 and which to 2.0?

I think the only differenc between v2.1 and 2.0 is that 2.1 has some updated maps. With both versions you should have the theme.ini already included. You can change the settings in the file to get the desired results you want, such as increased street font size. You should also have the theme2 settings in your file which allow you to change geo-features such as body of water, airport, land, etc.

I just installed the 2.1 on a new XP install and there's NO theme.anything file anywhere. Does this file have to be manually created or does 2.1 deliberately prevent anyone from doing any customizations?

If i'm not mistaken there wasnt a theme.ini in v2.0 either. You have to add it yourself and iguidance finds it

v2.1 definitely has more features and capability than v2.0. The theme.ini file was created separately specifically for v2.0 users because we only had one map color choice. For v2.1, we added multiple map color themes, and thus there was no need to create a separate theme.ini file. And v2.1/v2.0 customers purchase the product the way is and shouldn't be based on any add'l files/patches fcreated or previous versions of product. In addition, The font size isn't changed from v1.1 to v2.1. Nonetheless, due to some requests from our customers, our programmers are currently looking into the possibility of creating a theme.ini file for v2.1. However, at this point, decision hasn't been made as of today. If there's any updates on this, it'll be posted on our website.

Thank you.
Support Team

The note above was a reply from iNav support. I asked them why the new 2.1 I just bought wouldn't support theme.ini or other customizations. I wonder if you could use the 2.0 for theme.ini support and parts of 2.1 for the map/poi updates?

Now does someone have a solution to make the keyboard and menus bigger like when you click on the "Menu" button. Thats the really tough part as far as entering in an address or finding a Points of Interest. If that screen can somehow be made bigger along with a bigger keyboard, this software would be absolutely perfect!!

Are you f&*(^(ing serious? theme.ini doesn't work with the latest version of iguidance??? WTF is that??? Did they intentionally change it just to **** off people who use the program like us?
Is there any way to make the font bigger in v2.1?

Dont want to disappoint those who only read this far. ctheme.ini does it. Check out the latter pages for more.
