If you guys want to make all the windows look more authentic (more 'car pc navigator' like) you can use reshacker, and then do the following to remove the menu bars. (The window's menu bar used to drag windows... who needs that?)
1) Select the dialog
2) Right click dialog window, and select EDIT DIALOG from the contextual menu.
3) On the bottom left, there is a list. Some items will be highlited in yellow. Find WS_DLGFRAME and hilite it.
4) Save compile etc.
You can do this for every dialog. They look much more authentic WITHOUT the windows menu bar!

You can even make all buttons bigger. Just resize them in res hack.

Hi guys,
I like the modifications above. I never heard of ResHacker before. I think I should check it out. Is it possible to use ResHacker to enlarge the little rectangle which displays ETA, REM, DEST, and SPEED?

I followed the above steps to do this for routis, which has basically the same exe file as iguidance but did not work. What am I doing wrong?

When you hilite the option, it should be yellow. Also, the 'preview' of the window itself will suddenly show only one window bar (instead of two). Its confusing, I know.... there is one window bar for the 'ResHacker window', and another menu bar showing within, which is the 'Routis/iGuidance' window. All of this shows while working within the ResHacker interface...
OK, so you hilite the option as per instructions, you compile, and save. The 'preview' should now show only one menu bar, and you know you've done it correctly.

I just tried it on all of the dialogs and it works on all of them exept the main one which shows the map. Just thought of something though. I am opening routis as an stand alone application. Maybe what I am seeing is the "windows" frame and I should be opening it within FP or RR? I don't have them on my desktop (that is where I am testing this) I will download FP and open routis from within to see if it works.

I used the resource hacker on routis and it works except does not get rid of the text menue and icon bar below it. I then tried iglaunch (after changing the ini file for routis) but something is not right as the nag bar does not go away and when routis embeds into iglaunch it sits there and flickers for what it seems at least 100 times. But it looks like it does get rid of all the menue bars. Assuming I can get it to work, how do I launch iglaunch automatically when I launch routis?
