GPS and GSM antennas

In some places my GPS-antenna (BU-303) freezes, it happens all the time so there is not just a temporary error. I have noticed that there is a big GSM antenna where I loose the signal, can that be the problem?

I think it could be but there's no real way of telling. I guess you could make a call on your mobile/cell phone and hold it right next to the BU-303 but that might not be a strong enough signal to interfere. Some people have reported problems with the BU-303, check out the threads in the GPS section.

during my holidays i put my car approx 2 times a week under a GSM tower and did never ever notice any influence on gps reception.
I dont have the BU GPS and hereover in europe ist 900/ 1800 MHz ( usa 1900 ) but i think it doesnt change much the 100 MHz theorically difference.

Also GArmin builds GSM phones with GPS so i doubt on interference in general but we never now - perhaps bu GPS is a bit sensible
