Rikaline 6010 dead after 4 weeks

So my rikaline has stopped working properly..

It's mounted on the hood, worked great up until yesterday.

Yesterday it was powered, but wouldn't give a signal.. Connections looked good, light on the puck was solid green.

Redetecting the unit gave me com5 @ 2400bps which is incorrect. It was supposed to be 4800 bps. Changing it to 4800bps causes software to claim that it's not installed.

Rebooting/etc didn't fix it.

I left the machine 100% off overnight, restarted, still didn't work.

Removed the com5 port and let it redetect caused software to detect it @ 4800bps, but I still got no signal.

I assume that either got wet (even though it's supposed to be weatherproof), or simply broke.

What's a good replacement? Or a solution to troubleshoot this? I figure i'll wait a few days to see if it dries out, but worst case i'll simply replace it..

I'm a little ****ed that this piece broke this soon after installing it.. It hasn't been subjected to any unusual wear and tear and has a very clean install..

I got it from one of the amazon retailers.. I'll send them a mail and ask if they have any sorts of warranty or whatnot.

You might wanna try and download a software called SIRFdemo.exe

That doesnt come with the Rikaline (at least not with mine). It is great at seeing what is going on and what not since it shows you a complete log, what sattelites it logs on and it has great detection mode.
