Hi all

I have recently received my BU303, i'm not sure if this is a problem, mabys it's just me...

before installing it in the car I want to make sure it works so I placed it on a window and has a rough view of the sky

when i lload map monkey the status bars below the zoom out goes green and bingo it finds roughly where I am, but then 5 seconds later it goes red and loses the sattelites, is this normal because it doesn't have a good view?

What does the GPS status in D3 tell you?

Also, give it a good view of the sky rather than a rough one, and that will most likely help.

It says GPS not found

It's weird, It can find 7 sattelites then it suddenly loses them all.

Yet the software supplied still has a connection

I'll give it a shot outside, not sure how!

It help t try it outside, when I first go the BU303 myself I tried stuff like hanging it out of a window to test it and got nothing!

I'll begin fitting it inside my car, it should be better since the windscreen is at an angle allowing more view to the sky

are you placing it anywhere near your monitor?

i know my bu303 had inteference problems with monitors running at 75hz

Nope, this is really strange I can get a 5 sat lock now witht he bu303 software and mapmonkey notices this then 5 seconds later it goes red no gps found
