Unhappy The BU303 dim led blues...

I've got a BU303 and it's a fantastic bit of kit - or was.

Now the LED is dim and it's not sending data - it sometimes works for 5 mins or so then packs up again. I searched the back posts and people say it might have water inside (it's been on the roof of the car for about 4 months through winter). How do I open it up to try to dry it out? Anybody had any luck doing this?

Cheers,
John

remove rubber pad on backsid of unit. then you will find set screws remove them (2) gentle pry apart.... make sure you watch for the little led clear insert not to pop out it is held in by the 2 parts of the shell being together (wedge fit).

Naah, tried that. I peeled the rubber pad off the bottom and pulled the magnet out, it's just a blind recess

I feel stupid now. I'd peeled the rubber off but not seen the two screws you mentioned.

It's in front of the hairdryer now, let's hope it recovers! Thanks for the advice

Cheers,
John
