Rikaline 6010 Batt problems

Hi guys,
iv used this reciever 4 times since bought and now it doesnt work. Destinator doesnt pick it up but, the led taht use to come on comes on very dim. I think it might be the internal battery problem. Any ideas how to replace it ?

With a small flat prying tool.

The other thread about the internal battery was for the BU-303, but the 6010 also has an internal battery to assist in faster sat locks, etc. Supposedly it recharges when the device has power, so it may just be a defective unit.

yes you maybe right but recently there was very cold weather and the gps was sitting in my car for 2 months in cold weather in the garage. So i think it got affected.

2 months definitely could have an adverse affect on the battery if it went completely flat. Let us know if replacing it fixes your problems.

i took the batt out and it works without the battery but it takes 5-10mins 2 get a sat lock, so im gonna put a replacement bak in. Its costs £5 for a new battery from maplins.
