bu-303 is what i got, and love it.
if you browse around this forum, you can find a thread on how to make it better (enable WAAS), make it faster (remove internal capacitor), and more accurate (line the bottom with tin foil), weatherproofing (dip in "plasti-dip")
i haven't done any mods to mine, besides the weatherproofing..

I have installed a dozen bu-303s, I like them but sometimes I have USB issues when extending the cable too long, or when there's too many usb devices. For that reason, I have switched to using the bu-304's, which are the same but serial instead of usb. These are much better - no software to load and you can run them further away.
I am looking for the best equivalent in a waterproof version, since the bu's are defenately not weatherproof.

I have the DeLorme GPS and it sucks! If I enabled the WAAS would it be better? or should I just got for a different one? It's rarely giving me the green light I need. Rarely green...mostly acquiring.
