Acura uses NavTraffic. Why not just get a good WiFi card and connect to sigalert to grab all the traffic data?

That's why we're hoping a software can get TMC data from either the radio or somewere else.

GPS/TMC Data
Guys,
Just ing and found this
It looks like one already exists in the UK. You just need a GPS/TMC receiver
Edit: This one is for the pocket PC

From the web site on XMRadio.com it looks like it's using 2 of the XM Channels, to broadcast the traffic info... the key would be to find out if our tuners can tune to those channels, and if so, if we can demodulate the signal to be able to get traffic data from it... the rest would be adding markers to routis or Iguidance to indicate congestion.... (Just got my Radio, waiting for the cable, and Optical adapter)

OK... there is some thing I am working on with a couple of the members here which will benift at first UKers but could be expanded else where.
It will be traffic info releated at first..... I dont want to say any more just yet as its in very beta and as such its missing about a 3rd of the full solution - top that the web sites not complete.
All I can say is that it will work over any net connection and for pretty much any device.
Terran
Please dont ask - I wont tell
PS UK and Eu equivellents are TMC via RDS ( Old and out dated ) and TPEG
