GPS with voice control and feedback...

I am looking for a GPA software with voice directions, I can do voice input, and it works well for 7 inch touch screen.

I have street atlas and find that it doesn't work real well for a small touch screen.

please suggest.

try navivoice. It's an add-on written by 0l33l for iGuidance & Routis.

You can find details by searching.

It's true that SA has teeny tiny tab buttons on it but the voice control works pretty well. I'm going to eventually replace mine with Destinator or iGuidance but it's not killing me to use it until then. But I'm running it on an 8" screen.

GPS Voice Input for Pocket PC's

I tried out many of the touch-screen gps, and the interfaces are rather cumbersome....The programs seem to have been designed for the convenience of the programmer and not the end user.

I discovered this when I went to CompUSA to check out the available GPS. My biggest gripe has to do with inputting street addresses.

We have to input the street name in one menu...the address number in another...and the city in still another menu using the rather cumbersome touchscreen GPS interface.

When I think of voice input, I think of inputting destinations like this:

"888 South F-I-G-U-E-R-O-A Street"
"L-o-s A-n-g-e-l-e-s California"

and be done with it without having to mess with all the menus of City, Street Name, Street Number.

Also, I notice when I use mapquest or something similar, and there is more than one route (by freeway), Mapquest will automatically route the shortest-- but not necessarily the most expeditious-- route.

Is there any voice-GPS software for pocket pc's that you would recommend that could overcome these two obstacles?

Hi. I am currently researching co-pilot version 5. It seems to be highly recommended, with a touch-screen. unfortunately, it is not clear whether or not navivoice will work with co-pilot. I will contact the person who wrote the program and see what he says.
