GPS Location

I've got a GPS mouse and it's weatherproof and magnetic. I want to install it on my roof, just above the rear window. Does anyone how easy/hard it is to get it outside the car without drilling holes? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I drive a 2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V. Thanks....

David

Mine's inside the car under the glass and works flawlessly.

I put mine under my dashboard. It's invisible, and works great. Glass is not the signal killer. Before you do anything rash, try it inside and just look at how the signal looks without making assumptions.

Even though it works inside, I bet you it would work that much better if it was outside. Nothing blocking the signal will always be better than something blocking the signal, no matter how insignificant the blocking material is (plastic, glass, etc).

I do agree though, try it inside first, if it works well enough then don't bother with trying to get it outside. If you do have to mount it outside I think the only way to get it out there would be to drill a hole or to use an existing hole (radio antenna location perhaps?).

Ok, let me rephrase. Not only does it work great, but I regularilly have 8+ satellite and maintain a solid 3D lock always.

I OFTEN have 11 sats.

but don't let my experience get in the way of your theories...
